In a very physical confrontation in front of the Ammons Gymnasium fans, the ladies faculty/alumni battled back from a five-point deficit at halftime to take a 39-29 victory. The ‘younger’ senior girls jumped out to a 14-9 lead after the first eight minutes but couldn’t keep pace with the ‘older’ set.
In the men’s game, the faculty/alumni clung to a 22-17 lead after one quarter of play and then turned on the jets to jet out to an 18-point lead at halftime.
The senior boys made it a little more exciting in the third quarter to pull to within ten points at the quarter’s end, but couldn’t hang with the faculty/alumni men’s team as they rolled to a decisive 83-65 victory.
Not only did the teams play hard and the money raised for a worthy cause, but a gorgeous set of cheerleaders led the way in cheers from the stands with some of them performing windmill stunts.
