Earline Johnson was arrested last week by Red Springs police in connection with a Buie Street house fire.

Police charged Johnson with conspiracy to commit arson and solicitation to commit arson in connection with the 111 Buie Street fire on April 12.

Balva Lewis was charged by police in connection with the robbery of Eddie’s Exxon on Dec. 12, 2011.

According to Red Springs police, Lewis was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Two people have been arrested in connection with a breaking, entering and larceny on April 29 at the Jiffy Stop.

Police said they have charged Terry Quinton Oxendine and Dakota Scott with felonious breaking and entering, and felonious larceny.

David Chavis was charged by Red Springs police with two counts of assault by pointing a gun at a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, and resisting, delaying and obstructing arrest. The charges were filed following an incident, police said, at 82 Layton Street.

Seven Red Springs High School students were charged by police with misdemeanor riot.

According to police records, Ron Cummings, 16, Trent Cummings, 18, Dakota Collins, 16, Demontray Newton, 18, Austin Sanderson, 16, Tristian Blackhorse, 16, and Maurice McCaedy, 16, were each jailed under a $2,000 bond in connection with an incident that occurred on May 10.

Archie Troy, 65, of 159 Brigman St., Red Springs, was charged May 7 by police with simple assault. His trial date is June 5.

Connie Cummings, 51, of 857 Shop Drive, Red Springs, was charged May 7 with simple, non-physical assault. The trial date is June 5.

Shaina Austin Bullard, 17, of 493 Fletch-McPhaul Road, Red Springs, was charged May 8 with simple assault. His trial will be June 5.

Kyle Hollingsworth, 16, of 703 West Third Ave., Red Springs, was arrested April 25 and charged with simple assault.

Kaelon Travis Champion, 17, of 703 West Third Ave., Red Springs, was arrested April 25 on a vandalism charge.

Wanita Michelle Locklear, 36, of 10816 Rennert Road, Shannon, was arrest April 29 on a charge of driving with a revoked license.

Brandon Jermaine McLean, 28, of 107 ½ Fletcher Ave., Red Springs, was arrested April 28 on a charge of driving with a revoked license.
