The Red Springs Fire Department was first to arrive on the scene responding to a mutual aid call to assist Antioch Fire Department. Other area fire departments responded to the fire, with trucks lining up at the nearest hydrant to refill tankers with water.
It is not known if the home, just past the Hoke County line on Duffie Road in Red Springs, was occupied at the time of fire.
According to Fire Chief Chavis, of Antioch VFD, there were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
