Two schools among the Public Schools of Robeson County will have new leaders beginning with the new school year.

Superintendent Johnny Hunt and staff are still working on a final list of school principals for the 2010-11 year, according to Al Kahn, public relations director for the system.

The new principals are:

Karen Floyd has been named principal of Red Springs Middle School in Red Springs. Floyd is the former principal at W.H. Knuckles Elementary School in Lumberton. She takes over for Vivian Tyndall, whose job assignment is not yet determined, Kahn said.

Paul Locklear has been named principal of Rex-Rennert Elementary School in Shannon. Locklear was formerly an assistant principal at Fairmont High School. He takes over for Bobby Oxendine, who retired.
